Basically, the Armaid is a lever that lets you effectively apply the trigger point therapy technique. It can help you prevent and recover from maladies such as Tennis Elbow, Golfers Elbow, Tendinitis, and De Quervain's syndrome.

So, how does it work? The Armaid has three basic parts: A non-skid base, a large arm with a stationary permanent roller, and an adjustable small arm that holds the interchangeable therapy roller attachments.

The non-skid base stabilizes the tool, usually on your leg, but could be on a tabletop, wall, or any flat surface. The large arm comfortably supports the muscle you are working on during therapy. The smaller, adjustable arm holds the therapy roller, which is the real workhorse for applying trigger point therapy.

With the Armaid you’ll be building a committed relationship to recovery. So don’t rush your therapy - start slow and listen for feedback from your body.

How to Apply trigger point therapy with the ARMAID

The three-step process
to recover from your arm pain

Locate the sore muscles

Start by rolling over your arm muscles to identify tender zones and begin the process of trigger point therapy.

Apply and maintain pressure

After you’ve rolled and identified a tender zone, place the center ball on the most painful spot. Squeeze the handles. You’re now applying pressure on the muscle.

Stretch out the tight problem areas

Keep maintaining pressure. Start stretching the muscle. You might be moving your hand, if your sore spot is in your forearm. Or, you might be bending your elbow if the sore spot is in your upper arm. This is trigger point therapy.

DeQuervains and ECU tendonitis no more!!!

I had nearly a year of left and right wrist tendonitis from medications and climbing. I tried steroid shots, physical and occupational therapy, acupuncture, massage, splinting, rest, foam rolling, lacrosse balls, heat, ice, you name it. The ArmAid has fixed both wrists within a week of regular use. I am forever grateful and will be a free salesperson for them for the rest of my life. Also- definitely watch the videos. Even if you don't think you need to, you will learn something and it will save you so much time!

Golfer elbow

Got this device to deal with a golfer elbow. The device is quite effective for stretching the forearm muscles: I didn’t think that my forearms were all that tight but after applying the second technique in the videos I can definitely see the difference between an arm being worked on and the arm left alone.
The problem for me is the stretching the triceps. I am still figuring out the positioning of an armaid to effectively stretch muscle fibers above the elbow. It also may be that I need the roller with a bigger middle ball, not sure. Will keep on using the default one for a while though.

I imagine that for the ppl suffering from golfer elbow caused by tight gripping muscles of a forearms the Armaid device would be very effective. Also dealing with tennis elbow issues should be relatively easy.

Potter's Best Friend

I am potter, which means I am constantly using my forearms and triceps to wedge clay and pull forms on the wheel. I developed elbow tendonitis and it was truly one of the most painful things that I have ever experienced. I couldn't even lift my water bottle to drink, let alone work in my studio.

I went to my HCP and she gave me steroids and told me to take ibuprofen. The steroids made me crazy and the ibuprofen couldn't touch the pain. She then sent me to PT, which was wildly expensive, and even after two months of work, still barely touched the problem.

Enter Armaid. For the price of one PT session, this little machine has almost cured me in two weeks. I can work in my studio again. The nerve pain and tingling is almost completely gone. All I can say is thank you. Thank you so much for giving me my life back. Thank you for letting me make art again!

Happy Potter, we are glad you are happy and doing well!! Woot!! Success stories like this pump us up and keep us focused on the Armaid mission. We wish to help all potters be happy and healthy and at the wheel!
