I spent this weekend in Pensacola, Florida. What a wonderful place! The beach was beautiful and the weather was fantastic.
I visited the Naval Air Museum and had an opportunity look at their collection of vintage planes from the last hundred years. Then, I made my way to the Pensacola Lighthouse. 177 steps to the top all on a spiral iron staircase. The view was fantastic, though I admit looking down gave me a bit of the willies. While there, I met some Marines. One of the Marines couldn’t navigate the stairs because his knees hurt him. I gave him some Active Release sports massage on his overly tight leg muscles and he felt better immediately. It felt good to be in the right place at the right time.
Lastly, I had an opportunity to swim in the ocean as the sunset. The water and air temperature were about the same, mid 70’s. It was wonderful. . .and a lot different than the cold Maine ocean water!
Heading over to the Andrews Institute today and then tomorrow I am back on the road!
